The Jet2 Airline imposed a lifetime ban on a passenger after she turned to aggression as a result of crying babies on a flight. The now-banned passenger attempted to open the cabin doors mid-flight as a result of her rage.

Aside from the lifetime ban, the airline also imposed a £5,000 fine on Catherine Bush, who hails from Bradford, West Yorkshire. In some shocking footage of the incident that went viral, Bush could be seen acting unruly as the flight was at its midway point between the origin Manchester and the destination Antalya in Turkey.

In the video below, a visibly enraged Bush could be seen as very problematic with the flight staff, who were desperately trying to calm her down. Many of the passengers who witnessed the incident claimed that she event slapped other customers and caused harm to innocent bystanders.

Her actions force the plane to be diverted to Vienna for her to be kicked off the flight. Sources close to the now-banned mother of one have claimed that Bush was going to Turkey to receive 20 zirconium veneers. This is a teeth whitening treatment that costs around £3,000.

“I was with Catherine in the pub at the weekend. She told me she was excited about going to Turkey,” said the source.

“She said that she had scraped together £3,000 from her savings for cosmetic surgery on her teeth. She was going to have them whitened.”

From its looks, Ms. Bush will shell out a little more cash than she initially expected, considering the fine imposed on her due to her whole incident. According to the Managing Director of the airline, Ms. Bush’s actions warranted immediate restraint and penalties from the airline staff.

“Ms. Bush displayed a continued pattern of appalling behavior on the flight and she must now face up to the consequences of her actions,” explained Phil Ward, the airline’s Managing Director.

“We have always made it abundantly clear that, as a family-friendly airline, we take a zero-tolerance approach to such behavior and that we will vigorously pursue any costs incurred as a result of such an incident.”

The airline also made sure to acknowledge the inconvenience of all the other passengers who were on board that flight.

“We would like to apologize to anyone who had to experience this behavior and we would like to commend our highly-trained crew for their exceptional handling of this difficult situation.”

It’s been reported that Ms. Bush’s meltdown was triggered by the noise of crying babies who were also on board the flight. The enraged passenger marched to the front of the plane to confront the babies’ parents while also launching a series of verbal tantrums at the cabin crew, who tried to control the situation.

For now, it looks like Ms. Bush’s moment of rage has cost her an opportunity to get her teeth whitened and any kind of access to Jet2’s services.
