Right from the beginning of her career, Britney Spears has always been in the spotlight for her forever unstable personal life. Life hasn’t been easy for the pop icon, from relationships to mental health issues and family breakdowns.
Her former love interest and ex-husband Kevin Federline recently stated that the Toxic Pony singer hadn’t seen her two sons in months.
After dating for a while, the duo tied the knot in 2004 and became parents to two children, Sean Preston and Jayden.
Britney and Kevin’s marital relationship didn’t last long, and after two years, the couple got divorced in 2006.
Now, after staying quiet for almost ten years, the former dancer has finally broken his silence about his ex-wife Britney and her relationship with her sons.
Daily Mail wrote that the American singer and former backup dancer appeared in a series of interviews on ITV and revealed that despite being co-parents to their sons, they hadn’t seen Britany in quite a long time.
“The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It’s been a few months since they’ve seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding.”
“In fact, given her situation and state of mind, I believe the controversial 13-year conservatorship by her father Jamie ‘saved’ her in so many ways.” He added.
“This whole thing has been hard to watch, harder to live through, harder to watch my boys go through than anything else,’ he says. It’s been tough. It’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.”
Last November, Britney was released from the arrangement that controlled her personal and professional life for so many years. After that, the 40-year-old resorted to posting explicit pictures on Instagram, including her nudes.
Kevin said that her sons don’t feel comfortable posting her nudes on social media with their mother.
“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself.’ But that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough. I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager having to go to high school.”
Federline was a talented dancer, and that’s how he met Britney in early 2004; the duo performed together at a Hollywood Club.
It’s been a long time since Federline left showbusiness and now lives a low-key life with his two boys and wife Victoria, whom she married some nine years ago. The family is quite content with their current lifestyle.
“This is a normal home, a family… full of love, Victoria tells me. Whatever is happening outside has nothing to do with this home.”
“If there was a way – any way – I could possibly say something to just open [Britney’s] eyes – but I haven’t found that yet. I feel like if I found that, I’d be on the phone trying to tell her.”
