Florence Pugh and Finn Cole walked their first red carpet together on Friday, October 9, at the world premiere of In The Shadows at the 70th BFI London Film Festival. The film is his. Cole plays Richard Moore, the husband of real-life boxer Ramla Ali. Pugh came as his date.

Both are 30. They have been linked since July 2024. Florence Pugh and Finn Cole made their red carpet debut at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival.

The Red Carpet Moment in London

Us Weekly described Pugh’s look as a sparkling silver corset gown. E! Online went into more detail. Per E!, the dress came from Wiederhoeft’s Spring 2027 collection, with a lavender corset top and a sparkling skirt. Pugh finished the look with silver peep-toe heels and statement diamonds at her neck and ears, plus a half-up, half-down hairstyle.

Cole wore a black suit with a blue striped dress shirt, a black tie and matching shoes, according to E! Us Weekly reported that the two cozied up while posing for photos.

His premiere. Her first time standing next to him for it.

What Florence Pugh Said About Privacy

Pugh laid out her terms two weeks before the premiere. She sat down with Vanity Fair for an interview published September 25. “I don’t want to be a secret,” she said. She also made clear she did not want everything divulged.

Asked how the romance started, she stayed coy and told the magazine she might not tell everything. What she did offer was a description of how the relationship feels to her. She said she feels solid, safe and sturdy, and that the happiness is worth its weight in gold.

Pugh is drawing a line most famous couples never manage to draw. Hiding a relationship turns every sighting into a story. Narrating it turns the relationship into content. She picked a third option: show up together, and keep the origin story to herself. A red carpet at his film fits that exactly. It confirms everything and explains nothing.

The Timeline With Finn Cole

July 2024 is when Us Weekly first linked the pair. That September, Pugh told British Vogue she was seeing someone and that they were still working out what they were. She talked about letting something evolve slowly this time, rather than racing into it, and said chasing only the feeling of falling would not last.

Instagram came next. On March 31, Pugh posted photos from the Bulgari Eclettica High-End Collection launch in Milan, with a heart-eyes caption about being there with her boys. One shot showed her in a green gown beside Cole in a chocolate brown suit. Another included her manager, George Freeman, per E! Online.

Then London in October. Rumors, then a post, then a carpet. Each step took months.

From Zach Braff to a Premiere Carpet

Pugh’s caution has a history. Before Cole, she dated Scrubs actor Zach Braff from 2019 to 2023. In the same 2024 British Vogue profile, she said she had been forced to go public back then because people were bullying her and her partner.

“Mine and Zach’s relationship was actually quite private until it was nasty,” she told the magazine, describing the toll it took on him, on them and on their families.

Read against that, the pace with Cole makes sense. Last time, strangers decided when the relationship became public. Going public was defense. This time Pugh set the schedule herself, and she set it slow. A careful person who learned something the hard way looks like this, and it is a long way from coy.

Neither Pugh nor Cole has said how they met. Based on everything she has said so far, she probably never will.
