Kim Kardashian called it Quits with Pete Davidson Because She was Feeling 'Exhausted' by the Relationship

Recently the American model and socialite Kim Kardashian and comedian Pete Davidson ended their nine-month-long relationship.

Reports claim that Kim decided to break up with Pete due to his ‘immaturity and young age’, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“Pete is 28 and Kim is 41 — they are just in very different places at the moment,” an Insider told Page Six.

“Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notice. But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”

The source added that the reality star took this step because she was “totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.”

The dup started dating in October 2021, nearly ten months after Kim’s split with ex-husband, Kanye West.

According to People, the major reason for their split was their ‘long-distance’ relationship.

“Long distance hasn’t been easy for Kim’ as Pete continued shooting Wizards! abroad.” A source told People.

“Kim loved visiting Pete in Australia in July. They had been apart for several weeks, and they enjoyed a long weekend together. Pete is still filming but will be finished now in August. He has another project in the U.S. though, so he will continue to be busy.”

“The SKIMS co-founder is just excited that he will be back in the U.S. soon.”

It has now been explained by an insider to E! News: “They have a lot of love and respect for each other, but found that the long distance and their demanding schedules made it really difficult to maintain a relationship.“

While Kim and Pete are splitting up, she is still settling the legal details of her divorce from Kanye West, with whom she shares four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

It has been two years since Kim filed for divorce, and Kanye’s fifth lawyer withdrew from the case this week.

Before dating and breaking up with Kim, Pete had been in several romantic relationships with his fellow celebrities like Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Kaia Gerber, Margaret Qualley, and Phoebe Dynevor.

In June 2022, the 41-year-old makeup mogul sat in an interview with Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on Today and shared that she took enough time to decide that Pete was the right choice for her after her split with Kanye.

“I waited a while, I waited a good ten months before I was ready to open myself up, and I think you definitely need that time to yourself.”

“Then, once you’re ready to get out there, I felt like I just wanted new energy, and something different, and it definitely took me by surprise.”

She also confessed that she was the one who pursued Pete by texting him first.

“Yeah, that’s true. That is so not me. It was just, well, he gave me advice. I ran into him a little before the Met, and he gave me good advice knowing I was going to be on it, so I reached out and said, ‘hey, thank you so much for that advice. It was so much fun.’” Kim explained.

“Just something caszh, like leaving it open.” She joked.

On the other hand, Davidson seemed passionate about his relationship with Kardashian and was reportedly photographed in May with a tattoo saying ‘KNSCP.’ People speculated that these are the initials of Kim and her four children.

The SNL star also wore another tattoo that was dedicated to her star girlfriend, and it reads,

“My girl is a lawyer and a branding of her name.”

But it is clear now that it was all temporary, and the two were never meant to stay with each other for long.
