The family Saga of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Shannon and “Mama June” and the rest of the crew have been on TV for more than ten years.
People watched them become true reality stars, from Toddlers and Tiaras to Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Mama June’s new sequels.
In April 2022, Mama June Shannon lost custody of her daughter Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson to her elder daughter Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon.
The 42-year-old Mama June was arrested along with her boyfriend for possessing a controlled substance and drug Paraphernalia.
After her mom’s arrest, Alana started living with Pumpkin and her husband, Joshua Efird. The couple has two children, a daughter, and a son.
While talking about Alana’s custody, Pumpkin shared with Entertainment Tonight that the family was going through a difficult time as she had four children of her own, a 4-year-old daughter, a 1-year-old son, and two newborn twins, and now she had to look after her younger sister as well.
“My mother has four kids. Three of us are grown-ups and can take care of ourselves, cook for ourselves, and pay our bills. But Alana’s still 14, and she needs her mom,” she said.
Pumpkin is married to the love of her life and shares four kids with him. She married Joshua in April 2018.
“Things have been far from easy, but we’ve managed to overcome all the bad things no matter what; I am and will always be so very proud to call you my husband. You’re the very best man.” Pumpkin said.
Their eldest daughter, Ella, was born in December 2017. In 2021, on her 4th birthday, Lauryn shared a cute picture of Ella on her Instagram and wrote a heartfelt caption,
“Screaming happy 4th birthday to my sweet, loving, & sassy girl. Ohhh how the years have just flown by. You’re one of the smartest little ones I know. The way you love me, your daddy, Lana, & your sweet bubba just shows what a beautiful soul we’ve created. I’d move the sun and the moon for y’all, Ella Grace.”
“I hope today is filled with all your favorite snacks & just an all-around amazing day. I can’t wait to continue to watch you grow & do so many amazing things in life. Thank you for being my saving grace when you didn’t even know it mommy loves you to the moon and back.”
Her son Bentley came three years after Ella in June 2021 and is almost one now.
“Well, the secret is out for everyone to know now!!” she informed her fans in April 2021. “Baby Efird No. 2 coming 2021. After almost three years, we are finally having another blessing and couldn’t be happier.”
Recently, Pumpkin Shannon has shown her newborn twins for the first time. The babies were born in May 2022.
In the photos shared by Page Six, the couple is holding the newborn babies while Alana holds her nephew Bentley, and the 4-year-old Ella posed while sitting in the middle of her mom and dad.
