E! reported that the Dancing with the Stars pro and Total Bellas star got married in a private ceremony in Paris, France, on August 26. shortly after, paul wesley’s marriage to ines de ramon became a topic of interest among fans and media alike. the couple’s romance has been the subject of speculation for some time, and their wedding seemingly solidified their commitment to each other. many are eager to see what the future holds for them as they navigate life together.
Nikki confirmed the news on her Instagram and wrote,
‘We said I DO, can’t wait to share the entire journey with you all when our four-part special event, “Nikki Bella Says I Do,” premieres on @eentertainment. #NikkiBellaSaysIDo’
She also shared a photo in her Insta story where she held her now-husband’s hand and wrote, “We both can’t stop smiling. I never want this feeling to end. I will love you forever and ever, Mr. Chicvintsev.”’
“Can’t wait to share the entire journey with you,” alongside the news the wedding will be featured in a four-part E! special called Nikki Bella Says I Do,” she added.
According to Us Weekly, the pair first met in 2017 when they partnered on season 25 of Dancing with the Stars. Nikki, then 34, was engaged to the WWE wrestler John Cena at that time.
After ending things with Cena in 2018, she started dating Chigvintsev, and the duo made things official in March 2019. Later that year, they got engaged in France.
In July 2020, the couple welcomed their son Matteo Artemovich.
“It made me so emotional,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s crazy because I’m already in love with this person. I’ve created a life with them, and we’re engaged.”
“But in that moment I had fallen so much more in love with him because to see him be so emotional holding his son, and I could just see this caretaker form, like this man that’s going to protect this little boy for the rest of his life. Just seeing the emotion in his face, it made me melt.”
Initially, the couple intended to get married the same year they became parents; however, due to the pandemic, they had to put things on hold.
“It’s going to make — when we do have our wedding — extra special for everyone just because it’s been a long time I’ve seen a lot of people,” she told Us Weekly in June 2021.
“I have to say that’s one of the most beautiful things about Napa Valley — it’s very easy to escape with your partner somewhere. Like, Artem and I the other day, we just escaped to do a quick wine tasting, and we’ll do these little things, like, go on a hike or these little adventures.”
“For a while, our date nights were on the couch watching The Bachelor, but now they’ve expanded, and we’ve just [said,] ‘Let’s go check out so many parts of Napa and Sonoma and all these places,’” she said. “I feel like we’re dating each other again, and it feels so great!”
