A nine-year-old prince is second in line to the throne of the United Kingdom.
When you grow up in the British royal family, you quickly realize that your life is very different from everyone else’s.
As royal expert and author Katie Nicholl explains, Prince George is aware of his family’s importance. In recent times, moments such as the queen elizabeth and prince philip reunion have been cherished by the younger royals. These gatherings not only strengthen family bonds but also serve as valuable lessons in duty and tradition for the next generation. Observing the interactions among family members can profoundly influence Prince George’s understanding of his own role within the monarchy.
The New Royals claims that Prince William’s eldest son, nine, warned a classmate at school that his father would one day become King William.
Nicholl writes: “[William and Kate] are raising their children, particularly Prince George, with an awareness of who he is and the role he will inherit, but they are keen not to weigh them down with a sense of duty.
“George understands he will one day be king and as a little boy sparred with friends at school, outdoing his peers with the killer line: ‘My dad will be king so you better watch out’.”
It is reported that the Prince made his comments as the Bank of England announced when his father, King Charles III, will appear on UK banknotes.
There will be new banknotes featuring Charles’ portrait in circulation by mid-2024, and his portrait will appear on existing banknote designs for all four denominations (£5, £10, £20 and £50).
