LaBeouf has admitted to cheating on every woman he has ever dated. An ex-girlfriend, musician FKA Twigs, sued the actor in 2020, accusing him of [se]xual battery.
While LaBeouf has denied the allegations and a civil case trial is scheduled for 17 April 2023, he recently confessed to many wrongdoings in a new interview.
During an interview on Jon Bernthal’s Real Ones podcast, LaBeouf confessed that he has cheat[ed] on every woman he has ever been with and never revealed that he got cold sores to any of his sex partners.
Without explicitly naming FKA Twigs – real name Tahliah Barnett – LaBeouf said: “I hurt that woman. And in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman.
“I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centred, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.”
He continued: “I f***ed up bad. Like crash and burn type s***. I hurt a lot of people, and I’m fully aware of that. And I’m going to owe for the rest of my life.”
Holes’ star said he wants to be ‘useful’ as he reflects on his past and prospects for the future.
He said: “When I think about what my life has become, and what it is now, like what my purpose is now… I need to be useful.
“And when I look at this #MeToo environment, there’s not a whole lot of dudes that are taking accountability.”
Initially, the actor had planned on taking to Twitter to defend himself; however, since the dust has settled, he said the accuser – who he refused to identify – is a ‘saint’ who ‘saved my f***ing life’.
He said: “Had she not intervened in my life and not created the avenue for me to experience ego death, I’d either have a really mediocre existence or I’d be dead in full.”
During an interview with Bishop Robert Barron of the Word on Fire Catholic Ministries, he said: “I had a gun on the table. I was outta here. I didn’t want to be alive anymore when all this happened.
