Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren Reunite for Son Charlie’s Commitment

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren stood side by side in Florida State maroon on Nov. 6. The reason was their son. According to E! Online, he signed his commitment contract that day to play golf for Florida State University after he graduates from high school.

Tiger and Elin divorced years ago, but they have kept turning up for the same moments anyway.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren at the Signing Table

E! Online reported the reunion as one more stop in a long run of shared appearances. Tiger, 50, and Elin, 46, were together last November when their son’s team at The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach won the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A State Championship. In February they came back together again, this time to watch him receive his championship ring at an awards ceremony.

Three events in twelve months. Same two parents in the stands each time.

Maroon Merch for a Blended Family

Nov. 6 brought a bigger crowd than just two proud parents. Elin’s longtime boyfriend, Jordan Cameron, came along, and so did the couple’s three young kids, Arthur, Zeta and Freya. Tiger and Elin wore the Tallahassee school’s signature maroon, and the rest of the group showed up in Seminoles merch.

Tiger is now dating Vanessa Trump, according to the outlet. She was not mentioned as part of the day.

A divorced father, his ex-wife, her partner and their kids, all in matching school colors around one teenager with a pen. Most blended families manage a polite hello at graduation. This one coordinated outfits.

A Top 25 Junior Golfer With a Famous Caddie History

The new Seminole recruit is no courtesy signing. E! Online reported that he sits 21st in the American Junior Golf Association rankings. He has also played tournaments alongside his father in recent years, and in 2023 his older sister joined them as a caddie.

Tiger Woods told the Golf Channel at the time that having both children inside the ropes “couldn’t have been more special for me.”

Golf is the family business here. It is also, plainly, the thing that keeps pulling both parents into the same room.

What Tiger Woods Said About Elin Years Ago

Back in 2015, Tiger Woods described the relationship to Time magazine in warm terms. He called it fantastic and said, “She’s one of my best friends.” He added that the two talk on the phone all the time, and that both agree their children are the most important things in their lives.

Ten years on, the photos back up the quote. That matters, because interviews are easy. Showing up is harder.

Former spouses who get along usually do it at a distance. Separate holidays, separate pickups, a text when the report card arrives. Tiger and Elin went the other way. They stand in the same frame, at the same ceremonies, wearing the same colors. Each new partner and each new set of kids has been folded in rather than kept off to the side.

The divorce followed a public scandal in 2009, one of the most covered celebrity splits of its era. Neither has ever needed to perform friendliness for a camera. They keep doing it anyway, which says the arrangement works for the people inside it.

Their son is the one who benefits most. A 21st-ranked junior golfer with a Division I commitment does not have to choose which parent gets the front row. Both are already there.

He still has his senior season at The Benjamin School before Tallahassee. Neither parent has said whether Tiger plans to join him on the course again before he leaves.

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren: Their Story So Far

2001: Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, who employed Nordegren as a nanny, introduced them at the British Open.

November 2003: Woods proposed to Nordegren after about 18 months of dating.

October 2004: They married on October 5, 2004, in Barbados, and later had daughter Sam in 2007 and son Charlie in 2009.

August 2010: Their divorce became final on August 23, 2010, months after a November 2009 car crash exposed Woods' cheating, and they agreed to raise their two children together.
