If these signs ring a bell, it’s best to stay away!
Ladies, we know the conundrum of it all. You’re told to never settle for a man who isn’t worthy of your time. But you’re also taught to be compassionate and patient when it comes to relationships. You’re told that relationships will always take hard work and sacrifice, but where do you draw the line?
How do you know when a man is actually worth fighting for, or if he’s just a lost cause? How do you know when to walk away from a loser, and move on to a better prospect? Don’t worry.
All you need to do is to heed the signs and you’ll be alright. If you want to eventually find success in your love life, then you just have to make sure you find a man who is actually worth making an effort for. Rid yourself from the emotional stresses that come with dating toxic men. It’s easy to spot these kinds of men. You can see them coming from a mile away if you just happen to know what you’re looking for.
Here are 10 signs that he’s just not the man for you:
1. You can’t introduce him to your friends and family.
It’s either he doesn’t feel like it’s important to meet them, or deep down you’re very embarrassed of him. Either way, when you get into a deep relationship with another person, you’re essentially merging social circles. When he doesn’t make an effort to meet your friends and family, then you should know that that’s a very bad sign for your relationship.
2. He demands all of your time. Not some of it; ALL OF IT.
He wants you to give him attention 24/7. He hates it when he’s not the center of your life and he doesn’t allow you to spend any time away from him. He wants you all to himself and he’s just a little too selfish. He acts as if he has taken full ownership of your time and that you’re not free to make any decisions on your own.
3. You feel like he never listens to you.
Communication is the bedrock for any solid relationship. If you feel like you’re stuck in a relationship with a man who does all of the talking but none of the listening, then that’s definitely a bad sign for you. You should only be with a man who values your thoughts and opinions.
4. He’s too in love with himself.
He’s a modern-day Narcissus who’s practically too in love with himself. All that’s missing is a pool with his reflection on it that he can drown in. He’s practically too engrossed in his own great qualities, he doesn’t even have the time to acknowledge your importance in his life anymore.
5. You feel exhausted whenever you spend time with each other.
Every moment with him is an emotional cross that you’re just forced to bear. He just takes a lot of energy out of you because he demands so much of your time and attention. It’s a struggle to be around him and you feel fatigued and overwhelmed all of the time. You don’t even have the energy to attend to your own personal problems anymore.
6. You never have complex or deep conversations.
You never talk about the serious stuff because he shuts his ears whenever you start. Either he’s just immature and afraid of commitment, or he’s just mentally deficient in that realm. Either way, he’s not a good choice of partner because of his reluctance to discuss the real life with you.
7. You don’t feel comfortable with being your true self when you’re around him.
Having a good partner in a relationship means that you always get to be yourself regardless of the time or place. You should always feel comfortable in your own skin and your partner should always be able to accept the real you. However, a toxic man is someone who you never feel safe around. You always feel like you have to subdue who you really are in an effort to not tick off any emotional bombs.
8. You have developed an inferiority complex because of him.
You have extremely low self-worth these days and your dignity is nowhere to be found. He belittles you with his demeaning nature and the worst part is that you’ve come to believe his foul lies about your personality.
You rarely have anything to talk about because you couldn’t be any more different. You don’t share the same hobbies, nor do you have any shared interests when it comes to music, movies, or TV shows. You don’t enjoy doing the same things and so you find yourselves doing things on your own or with other people most of the time.
10. You can’t imagine a future with him.
The number one sign that he’s not a man worth keeping is if you really can’t imagine a future with him. If he ends up being a guy you can’t count on, then you have to just let him go. You need to be with someone who you can build a foundation for your future with.
