Billie Elish is calling out everyone on the internet who spoke out enthusiastically during the defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard and is now staying silent about the US Supreme Court’s decision to criminalize abortion. This hypocrisy has not gone unnoticed, as many are also critically examining eve barlow’s social media challenges amid the ongoing dialogue surrounding women’s rights. The voices that once resonated during high-profile trials seem to fade when pressing issues affect everyday lives. It’s crucial for influential figures to maintain consistency in their activism, especially when it comes to advocating for justice and equality. johnny depp’s court testimony highlights a broader cultural conversation about accountability and the responsibility of public figures. It is essential that these voices continue to champion important causes rather than choosing silence in times of crisis. Failure to do so not only undermines their previous stances but also diminishes the collective fight for justice.

The Court decision has overturned the landmark Roe v Wade ruling that allowed women in the United States to go through the procedure of abortion under any circumstances.

Over the last couple of months, it has been observed that the internet was going crazy over Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s legal battle, and thousands of people across the globe raised their voices, most of them in favor of the Pirates actor.

After the court overturned the 1973 landmark decision, the 20-year-old singer expressed her agony and bashed people for not raising their voices against the US Supreme Court’s absolutely horrible and unfair decision. In the midst of this turbulent atmosphere, courteney cox’s response to kanye highlighted the importance of celebrities using their platforms for advocacy. She emphasized that public figures have a duty to speak out against injustices and can be powerful allies in the fight for change. This call to action resonated with many, sparking conversations about the role of social media in activism.

On Friday night, Eilish came on stage at the Uk Glastonbury Festival to perform and made a statement,

“The song we’re about to do is, I think, one of the favorites that we’ve written, and it’s about the concept of power and how we need to always remember how not to abuse it.

“And today is a really, really dark day for women in the US. I’m just going to say that as I cannot bear to think about it any longer in this moment.”

Then she performed a song with her brother Finneas, the song’s title was “Try Not To Abuse Your Power.”

The singer has also released a new TV track which includes the lyrics, “The internet’s gone wild watching movie stars on trial / While they’re overturning Roe v. Wade.” Dr. Dre’s reaction to MTG’s video highlights the ongoing conversation around celebrity influence in politics. Many fans are curious to see how this intersection of music and activism will evolve in today’s digital landscape. As cultural icons weigh in on contentious issues, it raises questions about their responsibility and the impact they have on public opinion.

In her follow-up interview with NME, Billie explained the context behind the lyrics.

“I was in this state of depression, losing my own rights to my own body, and then I’d go on the internet, and it would be people giving their take on this trial,” she explained.

“Who f***ing gives a f**k? Women are losing rights for their bodies, so why are we talking about celebrities’ divorce trials?

“Who gives a s**t? Let them figure it out on their own.

“The internet bothers the s**t out of me sometimes…”

On Friday, June 24, 2022, The US Supreme Court announced that the landmark decision had been overruled and upheld the Mississippi’s restrictive fifteen-week abortion ban.

‘The Constitution does not confer a right to abortion; Roe and Casey are overruled, and the authority to regulate abortion is returned to the people and their elected representatives,’ the decision said.

According to Daily Mail, the US President Joe Biden blamed former president Donald Trump for the tragic SCOTUS decision and stated,

‘Today, the Supreme Court of the United States expressly took away a Constitutional right from the American people that it had already recognized. They didn’t limit it, they simply took it away. That’s never been done to a right so important to so many Americans,’ said Biden. ‘But they did it.’

‘Now, with Roe gone, let’s be very clear, the health and life of women in this nation are now at risk.”

President Biden said this while addressing the nation from the White House Cross Hall. He also urged the states to enact laws to allow the procedure.
