Sofía Vergara and Dan Reynolds both turned up at the 2026 LACMA Art + Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, November 7.
Just hours earlier, the actress had laughed off questions about whether the two are dating. According to Us Weekly, the pair each made their own appearance at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Neither has publicly confirmed a relationship.
Vergara Laughs Off Dating Rumors at the LACMA Gala
Vergara, 54, walked the red carpet alone. She wore a strapless, black lace Celia Kritharioti gown, fitted to the floor. Reynolds, 39, posed for photos elsewhere at the event in a chocolate-colored tuxedo jacket and black trousers. Separate carpets. Same building.
Us Weekly reported that the night before, on Friday, November 6, Vergara was stopped by DeuxMoi photographers and asked about her dating status. She apparently told them she wanted to leave.
Then came the follow-up. Was she dating a rockstar? Vergara laughed and answered, “I wish.”
Two words, delivered as a joke, and they did more work than a denial would have.
Vergara gave the photographers a line to print. She gave away nothing at all. Anyone who has spent decades in front of cameras learns that a laugh closes a subject faster than a flat no. A flat no only invites the next question.
Vergara and Dan Reynolds Were First Spotted Together in October

Vergara was married to Joe Manganiello from 2015 to 2023. She has said they split over disagreements about family planning, and the divorce was finalized in 2024. According to Us Weekly, the two have kept their distance since.
Manganiello, 49, spoke about it on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy in October. “I haven’t talked to her since,” he said. He described looking at old photos of the two of them from when they first got together. He called them heartbreaking. Eight years of marriage, and now no contact at all.

Reynolds Recently Split from Minka Kelly
Dan Reynolds ended his four-year romance with actress Minka Kelly last month, Us Weekly reports. Kelly is 46.
Before that relationship, the Imagine Dragons frontman was married to Aja Volkman. They wed in 2011. They separated briefly in 2018, then reconciled. They announced their final split in 2022. Back in 2019, during that reconciliation, Reynolds told Us Weekly that marriage is not perfect and that relationships are not either. He has been unusually open about the work behind the scenes, and unusually public about it ending.
So the October 27 dinner arrived just weeks after his split from Kelly, and two years after Vergara’s divorce became final.
Both are freshly out of long relationships. Both are photographed constantly. Any dinner either of them attends gets read as a date. Dan Reynolds and Sofía Vergara were in the same museum on the same night. Nobody has reported them speaking there.
