Jada Pinkett Smith is ready to launch the book she wrote on her complicated relationship full of ups and down with her husband, Will Smith.
“The Red Table Talk host and actress, 51, will publish her yet-to-be-titled memoir with Dey Street Books, an imprint of the William MorrowGroup at HarperCollins Publishers, in fall 2023,” People Magazine reported.
“In the book, Smith ‘chronicles lessons learned in the course of a difficult but riveting journey — a rollercoaster ride from the depths of suicidal depression to the heights of personal rediscovery and the celebration of authentic feminine power,’ according to a press release.”

The press release added, “With no holds barred, Jada reveals her unconventional upbringing in Baltimore – from the child of two addicts to a promising theatre student and a violent interlude as a petty drug dealer – followed by a parallel rise to stardom alongside her close friend 2Pac, then falling in love with and marrying Will Smith, and a joyous embrace of motherhood.”
Will Smith and Jada-Pinkett Smith make one of the most renowned couples in Hollywood; the two met in 1994 when the then-teenager Jada auditioned to play Smith’s girlfriend on the NBC sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
Will and Jada officially started dating in 1995 while the Focus actor was still married to his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino, with whom he shared a son named Trey.

In 1998 Jada and Will welcomed their eldest son child, Jaden, and in 2000, their daughter, Willow.
According to Us Weekly, the picture-perfect couple went through many problems in their relationship that involved so much drama.
In July 2020, the couple sat down together in one episode of Jada’s show, Red Table Talk, and talked about the ups and downs of their relationship.
“I was done with you; I was so done with you,” Will said while admitting that he and Jada split for some time in 2015. “Marriages have that, though. We decided that we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy, and I’ll try to figure out how to make myself happy. I really felt like we could be over.”

While they were separated for some time, Jada got along with the rapper August Alsina for a brief amount of time.
“The Girls Trip actress then got into a brief “entanglement” with Alsina, 27 — but it’s not something that Will holds over her head since they were ‘separated amicably.’ Although she added she ‘just wanted to feel good’ with Alsina,” Us Weekly reported.
“I feel like that husband, like, I’m with you at the press conference,” said Will. “I love my baby, and I’m gonna stand by my baby no matter what.”
In the same episode of Red Table Talk, the couple shared that despite their differences and numerous ups and downs in their relationship, ‘divorce’ was never an option for them.
“I wasn’t sure I was ever going to speak to you again. The fact that I’m speaking to you again is a miracle,” Will said to Jada. “I sure wish it could be all magic and miracles. I’m gonna get you back.”

“I think you got me back! I think we’re good on that,” she responded.
According to People, the publishers of her book revealed that the book is going to be about Jada’s struggle with love, not only with her partner, Will, but also with herself, and how she went endured a crisis at the age of 40.
“At the heart of this powerful book,” the description revealed, “are two unexpected love stories, one being Jada’s complicated marriage to Will Smith, the other being the one with herself.”
“At the center of all the speculation and false stories is a woman who, like so many women, has had to reconcile her personhood with the needs of those she loves. This memoir is Jada giving the world her truth, taking readers on a journey from lost girl to woman warrior,” said Carrie Thornton, the Dey Street Books VP, and editorial director, in his statement. “It is my great honor to take that journey with her.”
