Imagine working hard all your life to build something of yourself and it suddenly all comes crumbling down – that’s sadly what’s happening with Johnny Depp ever since Amber Heard wrote an op-ed against him in 2018. A few trials and accusations later, Johnny Depp finally decided to go to trial with Amber Heard this year – and it has been a rollercoaster.
No More “Captain Jack Sparrow”
Throughout this entire ordeal, Disney decided to let go of Johnny Depp and remove him from the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean sequel. Imagine that movie without Johnny Depp playing his iconic role as Jack Sparrow – yep, we can’t either. He spoke about this massive change and how it affected him:
“Captain Jack Sparrow was a character I built from the ground up and was something that I, of course, put a lot of [myself] into the character and also having worked on these films with these people and added much of myself, much of my own re-writing of the dialogue and scenes and jokes.”
Damaged Beyond Repair
In addition to this huge loss, Johnny Depp has spoken multiple times during this trial as to how all of this has damaged his life and reputation beyond repair. He said:
“I lost everything. However this trial ends; I lose in the end.”
“I lost when these accusations were made public, they will stay with me forever. My life is ruined forever.”
Being one of the most notable figures in Hollywood, it’s truly heart-shattering to see him go through such a difficult time. Johnny Depp single-handedly gave us a lot of unforgettable characters and movies – only to see it all crumble down and be remembered for this trial.
“I will live with that for the rest of my life because of the allegations.”
“It was such a big, high profile case that I lost then no matter the outcome of this trial.”
The trial, which is still ongoing, has revealed a lot of disturbing truths about Amber Heard – a lot of audio recordings were revealed during Depp’s testimony which painted a completely different picture of Amber Heard.
Fans of Johnny Depp also created a petition to call for the removal of Amber Heard from Aquaman 2, the petition has reached over 4 million signatures. But even after all of this, Johnny Depp still has a long way to go before he can fully move on from this trial.

It is sad that a man’s career can be destroyed by hearsay without a shred of evidence. To me media shouldn’t print or air unsubstantiated claims like these of Heard or like they did Supreme Justice Kavanaugh. If it can’t be proven in a court of law then why do we have to hear these claims???
If I could say anything to him it would be “that his fans are behind him all the way!” I know that he thinks his life is over but it’s not. He’s still breathing and healthy and life as he knows it will change but out of change comes growth and new life. If Disney won’t have him in the next Pirate of the Caribbean movie then I won’t see it. I boycott Disney as well. I will not go see any movie they come out with following this! Johnny needs to be given a fair trial before Disney made the decision to let his contract go! You can totally tell that Am we Heard is lying out her a$$ making this whole B.S thing up to ruin his life! She should be locked up for real!!!!!
I think she is one of the most evil women I have heard of in my life time. I’m surprised she didn’t boil one of the dogs. The truth will come out. Hopefully in the trial but if not with time and she will pay for her sins. Most DV survivors are waiting for this to happen. Pure evil!
I think it’s really sad to have their relationship aired so every one can hear about it! Who decides on if it makes public or not! I feel really bad for Johnny Depp! So sad!
I don’t think a person’s private life she affect their professional career. I feel that they both were toxic for each other and never should have been entered a relationship together.
I know what he means , I left an abusive relationship and he accused me of the behaviors he committed and I have children who don’t speak to me because of it , Life May go on but it will never be the same 😥
