New day, new Kanye-Ye-West drama!
On Wednesday, 28 September 2022, the controversial rapper and Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband surprised his 17.6 million Instagram fans (yet again) by setting his ex-mother-in-law, Kris Jenner’s face, as his new profile photo.
The 45-year-old rapper is famous for his moot takes on social media, especially Instagram, where he often shares debatable content in posts and stories and raises people’s eyebrows.
After changing his Insta display photo, Ye shared a couple of stories and explained why he did it to fans.
“I POSTED KRIS WITH THOUGHTS OF PEACE AND RESPECT. LET’S CHANGE THE NARRATIVE,” the Flashing Lights artist wrote.
Earlier this month, Ye criticized the 66-year-old socialite and businesswoman for forcing her daughters, Kim and Kylie, to pose for the entertainment magazine, Playboy.
“Don’t let Kris make you do Playboy like she made Kylie and Kim do,” he wrote.
“Hollywood is a giant brothel. Pornography destroyed my family. I deal with the addiction [and] Instagram promotes it. Not gonna let it happen to Northy and Chicago.”
According to Hollywood Life, West’s blunt remarks upset Jenner and she said he was way out of his line.
“Kris thought that Kanye was way out of line for what he said about her. She has done nothing but try to help Kanye and mediate the tension between him and Kim. Kris is really hurt by his comments, and she let him know this,” a source revealed to the outlet.
“Kris works so hard to make sure that everyone in her family is kept safe and she will defend her family however she can. But she knows that if she were to speak out and respond to Kanye that he would only escalate the situation and that is the last thing she wants, or needs, at this time. Kim is the mother of his kids and Kris thinks that needs to respect her and keep the kids out of it.”
In the recent past, the Heartless musician had been beefing with several people, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, her now ex-boyfriend, Pete Davidson, her mother, Kris Jenner, rapper Kid Cudi, singer John Legend, and many more.
Last year in October, the couple called it quits nearly after seven years of marriage. They share four kids together: daughter North, 9, son Saint, 7, daughter Chicago, 4, and son Psalm, 3.
After his split from Kim, Kanye kept attacking her with his rude and inappropriate remarks on the internet. In one of his interviews, the singer criticized his ex-wife for letting their daughter North make a TikTok account.
“Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” Kim wrote in her Instagram story in February.
When Kim started dating the SNL star Pete Davidson in October 2021, Kanye started throwing shade over the couple, and according to a few reports, his doings affected Pete’s mental health.
Newsweek wrote that the American rapper apologized for his actions in February and accepted that his posts were hurtful towards his ex-partner Kim and could be perceived as harassing her.
“I’m working on my communication. I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers, and community leaders. Thank everybody for supporting me. He wrote on Instagram.
“I know sharing screenshots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim. I take accountability. I’m still learning in real time. I don’t have all the answers. To be a good leader is to be a good listener.”
