Kimberly Noel Kardashian, popularly known as Kim Kardashian, is an American model, socialite, and media personality who first attracted media outlets when she worked as Paris Hilton’s stylist.
Recently the Keeping Up With Kardashian star has stated that she had waited six months before introducing her kids to her new boyfriend, Pete Davidson, whom she started dating in October 2021.
The 41-year-old makeup mogul shared that she also sought advice from her elder sister Kourtney Kardashian and some professionals before introducing North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm to Pete.
In her interview with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on TODAY, the socialite stated that she wanted to take her time and put her kids’ needs above everything.
When Hoda asked, “how do you decide and how much to, like when to introduce your kids how much to share with your kids when you have kind of a new man in your life.”
The reality star replied, “Luckily I have a sister that’s been through it all and we talked about it,” she said. “I consulted with a few therapists and friends that have been through it. I definitely wanted to wait six months. That was the marker.”
She said things work differently for everyone.
“You just have to do what’s right and try to be as respectful and cautious as possible.”
Then she explained that after her divorce from Kanye West, she took some time to start dating a new man,
“I waited a while, I waited a good ten months before I was ready to open myself up, and I think you definitely need that time to yourself.”
“Then, once you’re ready to get out there, I felt like I just wanted new energy, and something different, and it definitely took me by surprise.”
She also talked about how she pursued Davidson. When Hoda commented that the best part about Kim’s relationship with Pete is that she pursued him,
“You know what I love about this too? What I love about your relationship with him is you pursued him; you asked for his number. That’s so not you. Said Hoda.
What is the first text you sent to him like?” Asked Guthrie. “Like, hey, it’s Kim. We met backstage at SNL. Something like that?!” She added.
“Yeah, that’s true. That is so not me. It was just, well, he gave me advice. I ran into him a little before the Met, and he gave me good advice knowing I was going to be on it, so I reached out and said, ‘hey, thank you so much for that advice. It was so much fun.’” Kim explained.
“Just something caszh, like leaving it open.” She joked.
Reportedly, her new boyfriend, the SNL comedian, was photographed in May with a tattoo saying ‘KNSCP.’ People have speculated that these are the initials of Kim and her four children.
Davidson also wears another tattoo that is dedicated to her star girlfriend, and it reads,
“My girl is a lawyer,” as well as a branding of her name.
