Sandra Annette Bullock, popularly known as Sandra Bullock, is a renowned American actress and producer.
She first rose to fame in 1994 with her breakthrough role in the action thriller film ‘Speed’ and established herself as a successful actress with her lead roles in ‘While You Were Sleeping’, ‘Hope Floats’, ‘The Net’, and ‘A Time To Kill.’
Bullock received several awards throughout her acting career, including Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. She was recognized as the world’s highest-paid actress in 2010 and 2014.
In 2010, ‘The Proposal’ actress was also named as one of the world’s 100 most influential people.
Speaking of relationships, the 58-year-old actress dated several celebrities, including Jesse James, Bryan Randall, Matthew McConaughey, Bob Schneider, Ryan Gosling, and Tate Donovan.
The Ocean’s 8 alum was also romantically linked to the Marvel star, Chris Evans, at one point, but things didn’t work out between the two due to their 16 years age gap.
In 2012, The Gray Man star admitted that she had a huge crush on Bullock, but despite their connection, they couldn’t get along for long.
In 2014, Sandra spoke to Entertainment Tonight in an interview, and when asked about her relationship with Chris, she jokingly said that the two were married.
“You guys are a little behind.” She told ET. “We’ve since married, and it started breaking apart, so we separated. We filed for divorce, and I hope everyone can respect our privacy. But we’re going to remain friends and share the responsibility of the farm animals we’ve taken on because you just can’t abandon the animals.”
The Hollywood superstar dated many men but married only once. She tied the knot with TV personality Jesse James in 2005. The couple stayed together for five years and ended their relationship with divorce in 2010 after Jesse was accused of cheating on the Birdbox star with several women.
After her split with James, The Proposal actress decided never to get married again. However, she knew one thing for sure – she wanted to be a mother.
So after deciding to go for adoption, Bullock brought little Louis home and never let him go ever since.
“The beautiful thing that I was constantly told was, ‘The perfect child will find you. You will find your child,’” she told Hoda Kotb during an appearance on Today.
“But you don’t believe that when it’s not happening. When you’re going, ‘Where is my family?’”
In 2018, the Brunette beauty opened up about her decision to adopt Louis and said the 2005 national tragedy, Hurricane Katrina, compelled her to adopt little Louis.
“I did think, ‘Maybe not.’ Then [Hurricane] Katrina happened,” she said in an emotional interview with Parenting. “I’m going to cry … Katrina happened in New Orleans, and something told me, ‘My child is there.’ It was weird.”
According to Closer Weekly, the little boy, who is 12 years old now, proved to be a huge blessing for Bullock. Despite having no initial plans of adopting another child, the Bullet Train actress decided to adopt a daughter in 2015.
“The adorable kiddo, who was 3 years old at the time, jokingly said, ‘Yeah, I don’t have daughters. But I’m going to have a baby soon!’ Sandra told Hoda on Today Show.
“I realized at that time, maybe he knew something. And when I think about it, it would have been around the time that Laila was born.”
In March 2022, Bullock spoke to PEOPLE in an interview and revealed that she was taking some time off acting to spend more time with her children.
“I’m not retiring, just going to not spend time in front of the camera for a while,” she said. “I have beautiful babies. I’d rather look at them.”
She added, “I’d rather look at them every day and have them be mad at me and annoyed and make memories with them for right now.”
