To handle Kanye West’s business interests, Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez is appointed

She famously represented Johnny Depp in his defamation case against Amber Heard earlier this year, unless you’ve been off the grid for a while.

After her brutal cross-examination of Heard, Vasquez rose to Internet fame after Heard was ordered to pay $10.35 million to her ex-husband in damages.

In a statement to CBS, Brown Rudnick’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group spokesperson confirmed that Ye will now receive legal counsel from the firm.

There are no further details about the matters Vasquez and his team will assist the rapper with, and it’s likely to be a subject of debate as Vasquez has been involved in many spats recently.

Earlier this week, a $250 million lawsuit was filed against Ye by George Floyd’s daughter.

On the Drink Champs podcast, the Donda creator discussed his belief that Floyd died not from Derek Chauvin kneeling on his neck but from drugs.

According to Floyd’s family lawyer, civil rights attorney Lee Merritt, the family is considering suing West in response to his comments.

According to an episode of the podcast that has since been removed, West told hosts: “I watched the George Floyd documentary that Candace Owens put out.

“One of the things that his two roommates said was they want a tall guy like me, and the day that he died, he said a prayer for eight minutes.

“They hit him with the fentanyl. If you look, the guy’s knee wasn’t even on his neck like that.”

According to Dr. Andrew Baker, the chief medical examiner of Hennepin County, Floyd’s fentanyl and his heart disease contributed to his death, although Chauvin’s compression of his neck and restraint of his body were the primary factors.

The jury in June 2021 sentenced Chauvin to 22 and a half years in prison for Floyd’s murder.

Additionally, West was banned from Twitter after he said he would go “death con 3” on Jewish people on Twitter.

As a result of his comments on Instagram, he was also banned: “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me.”
