A frisky granny asked her daughter to bring her a hunky man for her 106th birthday because she wanted a fun birthday party. Her daughter fulfilled her wish and called a shirtless butler to entertain her.

According to Daily Mail, Norah Shaw is currently living at the Midlands care home and has witnessed eighteen American Presidents come and go and twenty Prime Ministers.

Norah was all smiles as she was served by Eddy Betteridge, 32, but was not sure whether Eddy was naked under the apron and had to check by asking him to fetch her snacks.”

“I was very shocked,” said Norah. “When he turned around, because he was only wearing his apron. It was quite amusing.”

“I had to keep checking, so I asked him to get some sandwiches.”

“It was spontaneous, to say the least, I have had an absolutely wonderful day, it’s been marvelous all the way through.”

Norah’s daughter, Gill Shaw, a 67-year-old retired parish clerk, threw her the surprise party when one of her carers at Midlands told her that Norah wished to celebrate her birthday in the presence of a hunky man.

“Eddy was tall, had nice eyes, and was very attractive. He had no hair on his chest at all, which impressed me. I had never seen anything like it,” said Norah.

“Eddy, who works for the Butlers in the Buff agency, provided Norah with sandwiches, scones, and fizz for her birthday on Saturday, August 6. The agency offered its services for free on the day to make Norah’s wishes come true” – Quoted Daily Mail.

The mom-of-three, grandma of seven, and great grandma of six said she had a fabulous birthday party full of fun.

“It’s been a grown-up birthday. It’s been a very special birthday. It’s not every day you turn 21 – and a little bit.”

The outlet wrote that Shaw was so thrilled about her birthday party that she couldn’t sleep properly at night because of all the ‘excitement.’

“I can’t reveal the secret of how I lived so long or it won’t be a secret!”

“Born in Manchester on August 6, 1916, my parents owned a launderette and I often told my daughter Gill how I would wrap freshly laundered items in brown paper and string and take them to customers using a horse cart.” she told the outlet.

Speaking about her mother’s life, Gill said, “She was bright, clever and independent, and got her first job at the age of 15 working for a textile department store.”

“She’s a walking and talking history book. She has seen and been through everything.” Added Gill.

“Cars can drive themselves now, and no one had cars when she was born. So much has changed in her life, and she has taken it all in her stride.”

Norah first met her late husband, Harry Shaw, in 1939 at a dance hall in Manchester, and they got married right before the Second World War.

In 1994 Harry got skin cancer and couldn’t survive. He left behind his wife Norah, and three children, Kenneth, Pamela, and Gill.

“My mum never remarried as she said she didn’t want to wash anyone else’s socks!” said Gill, Norah’s youngest daughter.

“Growing up, she was very busy looking after us. Once we grew up, she enjoyed bridge and bowls. She loved knitting. She just loved being around people. And even today, she’s a bit fun and flirty.”

“She’s a little bit cheeky, she’s got a twinkle in her eye, and she’s always game for a laugh.” She added.

According to Gill, her mother Norah lived a fiercely independent life, but now as she is old and needs care, she is staying at the care house and is well taken care of.

“I’m so proud of her. When she was 85, I thought we were not going to have many more birthdays, so I started doing special things for her.”

“Here we are 21 years later, still celebrating.” Said Gill.

“She’s been so supportive of me during my life, and I think this is the least I can do for her.”

The home’s chef at Midlands prepared a special feast for Norah’s birthday along with cupcakes in the shape of 106 and a chocolate cake. The 106-year-old received more than 200 birthday cards from her well-wishers across the UK.
