Brittany Snow says she is grateful for her divorce from Tyler Stanaland, and she said it out loud on the Nov. 2 episode of the Armchair Expert podcast. “I can’t believe I’m grateful for my divorce,” the Hunting Wives actress told the show, according to E! Online.
Gratitude is a strange word to attach to a marriage that ended in public.
Brittany Snow Reflects on Her Divorce Experience
Snow married the Selling the OC star in March 2020, after he proposed in 2019. Us Weekly reported the pair confirmed their split in September 2022. Snow filed the following January, and the divorce was finalized in July 2023.
On the podcast, she went back to the low point. Snow said she was 37, living in an Airbnb, staring at her dog and telling it the two of them would try to rebuild. She told the show she had no idea what would happen next.
Snow has said before that the end caught her off guard. Speaking on Call Her Daddy in 2024, she said she did not know what was going on with Stanaland’s romantic storylines with costars Alex Hall and Kayla Cardona on his Netflix series. She called it shocking, given how closely she manages her own career.
Just under a year before the split, she said, “I love being married.” Snow told Us Weekly in December 2021, “I love being married,” and described quarantine as the ultimate honeymoon.
The Actress Found Comfort in Online Communities
Snow looked up stories on Reddit during a challenging time in her life. Snow told Armchair Expert she searched for stories from women in their later 30s going through the same thing and finding people later in life. Friends helped too. Several, she said, told her the same thing had happened to them.
Strangers on a message board are an unlikely lifeline for a famous actress. Divorce at 37 does not come with many maps, though, and other women’s accounts gave her one. Snow summed it up on the podcast: people have to make of it what they make of it.
Brittany Snow Divorce Led to Personal Growth
Her reason for the gratitude is specific. Snow said the person she is now, and the partner she has now, are so different that she is glad she went through it.

She also refused to make Stanaland a villain. According to E! Online, Snow said there was a marriage there and so much love, and that the gray area is harder to sell than a story where one person did something wrong. She said she does not regret any of it, because she loved that time while they had it.
Holding both of those at once takes work. A breakup that left her shocked, and a marriage she still describes as loving. Most people pick one version and defend it for years. Snow kept both, and the gratitude seems to come from exactly that refusal to flatten the story.
Brittany Snow Is Now Engaged to Hunter Moreno
Photographer Hunter Moreno came into her life in 2024. Us Weekly confirmed the couple’s engagement in November 2025. E! Online’s report describes the 40-year-old as dating Moreno.
Stanaland has moved on too. Us Weekly reported he proposed to his new partner in October 2025 after less than a year together. E! Online reported the two married that same month.
Snow has not said when she and Moreno plan to marry.
