Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus are about to share an address. Hurley broke the news on the October 23 episode of the Off Air with Jane & Fi podcast. Cyrus will join her in Los Angeles while she films the next season of The ‘Burbs. “Yeah, we’re going to live together out there,” she said.
Her words were plain.
Eighteen months into a public romance, that is a real change. Since they went public in April 2025, the couple have kept two homes on two continents. Hurley lives full-time in the English countryside. Cyrus calls his farm outside Nashville his home base.
Elizabeth Hurley on the Move to Los Angeles
Season 2 of the Peacock series The ‘Burbs is what takes Hurley to Los Angeles, and it means a winter in California. She told the Off Air with Jane & Fi hosts she was excited for a “Californian winter” while she works there, according to Page Six. Hurley described herself as someone who lives full-time in the country and only visits London now and then.
Winter in England, as she tells it, is fires and early nights. Dark by 4 p.m. Asleep early. Cyrus, she added, goes to bed even earlier than she does.
Hurley is 61. Cyrus is 65. Neither of them is pretending to be anything else.
Page Six also reported earlier this month that the couple are engaged. Hurley’s podcast comments, as reported by both outlets, focused on the move rather than any wedding plans.
Billy Ray Cyrus and the English Countryside
So far the travel has mostly gone one way. Elizabeth Hurley said on the podcast that before they met, Cyrus had barely been to the UK beyond brief tour stops. He then spent most of last summer there, and the two of them were back on and off this summer between trips to America.
Her explanation for why he took to it is the weather. Cyrus grew up in Kentucky and lives in Tennessee, and Hurley described the summers there as hot, humid and wet. English air and English fields, in her view, are a relief to him. She said he adores it.
Los Angeles flips that arrangement. For once, he is the one following her for work.
They first met on the set of the 2022 holiday film Christmas in Paradise, Page Six reported. They reconnected in February 2025 and went public on Easter Sunday that year.
Gardening, Birds of Prey and Early Nights
Elizabeth Hurley has talked about their home life before. In July she told E! News that one of the most important things in the relationship is that neither of them wants to be out and about. He is very country in Tennessee. Their idea of a good evening is at home.

She listed the rest. She gardens. He likes being outdoors. They both enjoy watching birds of prey. She acknowledged most people would never guess that about either of them.
Supermodel turned actress, country star turned TV dad. Neither public image suggests a couple who would rather watch a hawk than go to a party. That gap between the image and the life is probably why she keeps bringing it up.
Empty Nesters With Grown Children
Later in the same podcast, Hurley explained why this relationship feels different from her past ones. She has one son with her late ex Steve Bing. Cyrus has six children from his relationships with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey and ex-wife Tish Cyrus. Every one of them is now an adult.
She compared it to dating the late cricketer Shane Warne, whose three children were close in age to her son and still kids at the time. Now, she said, it is different. “Billy and I are empty nesters.” The relationship feels more grown up and easier as a result, she told the hosts.
Moving in together usually involves a negotiation about whose schedule bends. School runs, custody weekends, a teenager who does not want a new adult in the kitchen. Hurley and Cyrus have none of that. What they do have is two homes, two countries and two careers, and the shared stretch of months in Los Angeles is the first time work has put them under one roof by default rather than by visit.
Couples who have been happy long distance sometimes find living together harder than expected, because the visits were always a holiday. Hurley and Cyrus seem to have tested that already. He spent most of the summer in the UK. She went back to America with him repeatedly. Elizabeth Hurley shared that she and Billy Ray Cyrus plan to live together in Los Angeles. Matching habits matter more in a shared home than matching enthusiasm, and on that front they sound well suited.
Neither has said how long the Los Angeles stay will last, or whether the Tennessee farm and the English house stay separate once filming wraps.
