Nicole Taylor, one third of the country trio Taylor Red, has passed away at 35. Her triplet sisters, Natalie and Nika, shared the news in a YouTube video posted on November 2, 2026, more than a month after she passed.
Natalie opened the clip sitting beside Nika. “This isn’t the video we thought we’d ever be making,” she said.
Nicole Taylor Passed Away After Battling Breast Cancer
Nicole passed away on September 28, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, according to Just Jared. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2022. Stage 3. Nika said in the video that it was “very aggressive.”
E! Online reported that she responded well to treatment and was at one point told there was no evidence of the disease. Then it came back. By then it had progressed to stage four, and she was given three months to live.
She lived another year.
Nicole’s diagnosis came one year after Taylor Red’s song “Country Money” went viral in 2021. The sisters had formed the band in 2011 under the name Red Roots, per E! Online, and over the years grew to more than 16 million YouTube subscribers and 13 million TikTok followers.
Natalie and Nika were with Nicole when she got the news in 2022. Page Six reported they were in a public place.
“I just remember breaking down in absolute shock,” Natalie said. She described running into the hallway, crying, to tell Nika. Nicole was the calm one. She was the one actually receiving the diagnosis. Natalie recalled her saying, “God’s going to use this for his glory.”
Nika framed the loss through the family’s faith. They had expected Nicole to be sharing a story of earthly healing, she said, and instead they were sharing one of heavenly healing. Their sister is now at peace, she told viewers. No longer suffering.
Natalie also remembered Nicole doing CrossFit during chemotherapy. According to Page Six, she said Nicole pushed the whole family to have fun and not live in fear.
The Taylor Sisters Reflect on Their Deep Bond
Identical red-haired triplets who grew up playing guitar, banjo, fiddle and mandolin together. Then a band. Then a pandemic spent filming perfectly synchronized skits and transition videos for TikTok and YouTube. Then brand deals with Sonic Drive-In, Crocs, Lipton and Skittles. Page Six laid out that history. Almost none of it happened apart.
Nicole was the oldest of the three. On the memorial page, Natalie and Nika wrote: “She was our leader and our best friend.”

Nicole held two roles that do not always sit together. A leader pushes. A best friend stays close. In her sisters’ telling, Nicole did both, and she kept doing both through the years when she was the one who was sick and the one facing the worst news, still pushing Natalie and Nika to have fun and not live in fear.
Natalie said the loss had pulled her closer to her faith rather than away from it. “I don’t know how someone could get through this kind of thing without God,” she said.
Taylor Red started as three sisters. Now it is just Natalie and Nika.
Private Funeral and a Memorial Page for Nicole
The family has already held a private funeral service for Nicole Taylor, the sisters confirmed on their website. Just Jared reported that the same site now hosts a memorial page with donations going to one of Nicole’s favorite charities.
Their statement there was short. “Nicole, the oldest of us three sisters, will be greatly missed,” they wrote, adding that they believe they will see her again.
Nicole Taylor was diagnosed in 2022 and passed away in September 2026.
Her sisters waited until November to say it out loud.
