Princess Diana Would Be Heartbroken To See Harry and William’s Never-Ending Feud

Princess Diana, formerly Lady Diana Frances Spencer, was a member of the British royal family. She was the first wife of Prince Charles, the first born of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip.

She was very popular due to her exquisite fashion sense and close association with the fashion world. Apart from that, Lady Diana was also famous for her notable charitable work. While married to Prince Charles, she was the president of at least a hundred charities.

She was one of the most loved royals in the British monarchy; former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair called her, ‘the people’s princess.’

Diana and Charles faced many problems in their marriage, mainly due to the Prince’s insane inclination toward his former girlfriend, Camilla Parker Bowles. They got married in 1981 and, after staying for fifteen years in an unhappy marriage, got divorced in 1996.

After just one year of her divorce from Queen Elizabeth II’s firstborn, Diana tragically died in a car accident in Paris. People across the world mourned her death.

The people’s princess had two children with Prince Charles, William and Harry. Although she was not pleased with her husband throughout their marriage, she loved her sons more than anything in the world.

William was almost fifteen at the time of Diana’s passing, and Harry was only twelve. The two boys shared an incredible bond in their childhood, but with time, they grew apart and started competing with each other instead.

Since Prince William was the elder son and the potential candidate to become king after his father, the royal family always preferred him over Prince Harry. He was always given more attention and love while his younger brother was sidelined. So, it was only natural for Harry to become competitive over time.

In 2018, when Prince Harry tied the knot with former American actress Meghan Markle, rumors emerged that the new royal family member was not getting along well with William’s other half, Kate Middleton. However, it was denied and later revealed by reporter Katie Nicholl that it was actually the brothers who were not getting along.

It all began with Harry’s complaints about William that he didn’t make any effort to involve Markle in royal affairs. Things got bad, and eventually, their father, Prince of Wales – Charles, had to meddle and ask William to smooth things with his brother.

“Diana had always seen harry as William’s wingman, hoping that they would together be able to usher the royal family into a modern era,” The royal reporter stated in 2018.

She also said their conflict officially began when the two families spent Christmas with the Queen in Sandringham. Prince William completely ignored Meghan like she was a nobody; after that, Harry stopped speaking to him.

In 2019 things became smooth for a while when Prince William and Kate visited Harry and Meghan when their son Archie was born.

However, things escalated when William blamed Meghan for keeping her son’s christening ‘extremely private.’

In October 2019, Prince Harry finally disclosed that he was not on good terms with his elder brother.

“There would always be good days and bad ones because they were brothers.” He said.

In January 2020, the Sussexes announced they would be moving to Canada, leaving all the royal duties behind – mainly because of their family issues.

In July 2020, the royal couple moved to the US and started living in California.

Recently, at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex traveled from California to the UK to attend the four-day celebration.

People hoped to see the two brothers’ pictures together, but nothing of that sort happened; in fact, the Sussexes kept a very low-key presence throughout the jubilee and even missed out on the final day.

According to The Mirror, Harry and Meghan visited Prince Charles before the National Thanksgiving service, but later during the ceremony, the couple sat separately from the other royals.

It was also reported that when they met Charles, there were no ‘touchy feels’ between the father and the son.

According to Royal expert Christopher Andersen, it is improbable that things will now become smooth between Prince Harry and Prince William.

“The curtain has come down. And one of the things I think is so sad about this is Diana, were she alive today, would be heartbroken by this.”
