Staci Felker Responds to TikTok Comment About Miranda Lambert

Staci Felker had a short answer for the TikTok user who said she looked like Miranda Lambert. Her husband is Evan Felker, lead singer of the Turnpike Troubadours, and he dated Lambert in 2018. According to Us Weekly, Staci replied to the comment on Wednesday, October 28, and did not dodge the subtext.

She called Lambert cute. Then she brought up the history herself.

Staci Felker’s TikTok Response

Staci, 41, opened by questioning the commenter’s motives. Us Weekly reported that she asked whether the person was blind or trying to stir up trouble. Then she softened. “This doesn’t hurt my feelings. She’s cute,” she wrote.

Staci Felker made a comment about her husband’s past romance with Miranda Lambert. “We have a little bit of history but I won,” Staci wrote, finishing with “so I’d be lucky to look like her.”

She followed up in a second comment, joking about what exactly she had “won.” Us Weekly reported that reply too, and its tone matched the first. Self-deprecating, a little sharp, and entirely unbothered by the comparison.

Staci Felker could have ignored it. Plenty of people married to someone with a famous ex would scroll past. She named the ex, complimented her, and claimed the outcome in the same breath.

The History Between Staci and Miranda

Evan, 42, and Staci were married for less than two years when he filed for divorce in February 2018. Us Weekly reported that his band toured with Lambert earlier that year, and that the “Crisco” singer and Evan started dating afterward.

August 2018 closed both chapters at once. Evan’s divorce was finalized that month, and he and Lambert ended their relationship the same month.

Lambert spoke about the period to The Tennessean at the time. “Love is a hard road sometimes,” she said, adding that the ups and downs had given her some good songs. Her advice to herself was to write the bad parts down and move on.

She did move on. Lambert married Brendan McLoughlin, a former police officer, in January 2019. In a February 2021 conversation with SiriusXM’s Storme Warren, she said the two had not dated long before marrying, and that time alone together at her farm outside Nashville made them strong.

Two people, one tour, one short romance. Both went on to marriages that have outlasted it by years.

Evan and Staci’s Second Wedding

Evan and Staci reconciled. Us Weekly reported that they remarried in June 2020 and are now parents to a daughter and a son.

Staci has never been shy about the strange shape of their story. She marked their fifth wedding anniversary on Instagram in June 2025 with photos from their first ceremony. She called it “our starter marriage if you will.” She closed the caption by calling Evan “my walkin’ talkin’ proof people can change.”

Read next to the TikTok replies, the pattern is clear. Staci jokes about the hardest stretch of her marriage in public, on her own terms, before anyone else can frame it for her. The first wedding is a starter marriage. The famous ex is cute. The divorce is a punchline she gets to deliver.

Humor like that only works from solid ground. Couples who reunite after a divorce carry the old version of the relationship with them, and outsiders tend to treat the gap years as an open wound. Staci treats them as backstory. Naming Lambert directly took the power out of the comparison faster than silence would have.

Staci’s “I won” line is a joke, and she framed it as one. It also says something plain about where she stands now. She is not competing with a relationship that ended seven years ago. She is married to the man, raising two kids with him, and posting anniversary captions about how much he changed.
